What did we visit last week?

  • Not overlooking the amazing girl in the community, whose beauty is revealed over time

Which obviously the next step brings us to today…

  • How to Date in the Church Friend group
  • Why is it so complicated for us men to date in the community group? 
  • How do we actually do it??

The Pro’s

  • Ample time to evaluate character and fruit 
  • Low stakes dating 
  • Already have a foundation of friendship 
  • There is communal accountability

The Con’s

  • Lots, lots of spoken and unspoken pressure and communal interest 
  • The pressure can be as simple as, romance is interesting… it’s thrilling and exciting (there is a reason why the bachelor, love is blind) all these shows literally hook us 
  • Potential whiplash and embarrasment

So exactly our point… Why is it hard???

  • Fear of rejection and communal embarrassment
  • Fear of repercussion and failed opportunities after asking out 1
  • Friendationships galore

SO.. how do we do it???

  • Level up as Christian men who seek to honor first, build connection second 
  • The reality is this.. Be MEN who they cannot help but brag on.. Be MEN who truly leave them better than you found them.. Be MEN who lead with GRACE and CLARITY.. Be MEN who elevate the health of her and you community over you desire to date. 
  • Release expectation 
  • End. It. Well..
